The pace at which the @steem-1up project is accelerating is proving that 1UP is on the right track. Steem dApps are on the rise and we find communities with specialized platforms all over the ecosystem. 1UP will become a content hub for all the communities on Steem and offer users to support their favorite projects with some of their daily voting power via an automated and profitable curation system.
What is 1UP In A Nutshell?
1UP is a new open source communitiy upvoting app where user votes are equal. It daily upvotes the ten highest ranked posts in each community with a smart curation rewards system. We create the UP token based on Steem's upcoming Smart Media Token (SMT) and distribute it to Steemians and communities via various airdrops. UP holders will support community growth and enjoy higher than average returns through smart curation.

#Esoteric Community Airdrop
We are releasing the first community specific airdrops to our ten starting communities. Each community will get one million UP tokens over the next ten weeks, with a total of ten million UP tokens. Everyone can take part in any of our bounty campaigns. So far, we have released the Steem Monsters bounty campaign and today we are starting the airdrop for the #esoteric community.
1UP Community Airdrop: Esoteric Community Spotlight and Contests
With the help of @eftnow, we created three different special bounties over one million UP tokens in total for esoteric content creators.

This leaves us with two active community airdrops out of ten. The next on our list are Utopian, Fundition and DTube.
Official 1UP Illustration Request Via Utopian
To make our various community efforts more professional and interesting, the 1UP illustrator @kayrex will create more illustrations of the 1UP mushroom for us. The idea is to create a family of different Mushroom Monsters, as closer described in our ongoing Steem Monsters airdrop. It is also meant to compete in the weekly airdrop as we have received no other fanart yet.
As this is a contribution to the open source project 1UP and within the rules and regulations of @utopian-io, I will help him to create a proper Utopian contribution for the Design category for each illustration.
He is working fast and delivered the very first Mushroom Monster right away. Here it is:

It would be amazing if 1UP-voters have a daily drop chance for one of our neutral Mushroom Monsters with various rarities. Since the game is decentralized and stores ownership of cards on the Steem blockchain, it is technically possible.
However, the 1UP-Team has to meet @aggroed and @yabapmatt at Steemfest first to pitch that to them. Without their support a non-related Steem Monster card would be pointless.

DLive No Longer 1UP Starting Community
As you might know, @dlive was one of our ten starting communities and hence eligible for a one million airdrop of UP tokens for their platform as well as one million tokens for the DLive community. Sadly, today they announced they will leave the Steem blockchain. The consequences of that are clear for 1UP: We support the Steem blockchain and its users!
That means we will find another great community that we can support and reward with an airdrop. It shouldn't be difficult to find one! Steem has unique features no other blockchain can offer and 1UP would be impossible to run without Steem.
Fundition Campaign Update
The 1UP fundraiser on Fundition is working well and we have received many donations from backers, who love the 1UP project and want to see it become reality. Nevertheless, we still need more funding to pay for the ongoing development costs in the current bear market. All funding money will be used to pay developers and running costs. 1UP is a community project and has no private ownership.
As a reminder: All our backers will share a 6 million UP token airdrop, out of the 280 million tokens total distribution. The tokens will be distributed proportionally to the Fundition donations. If you are interested to support us please visit our fundraiser:
