Add a feature of disappearing messages in kontalk

Kontalk is an open source android app which is a communication messenger used to send and receive messages and photos to and from your contacts.

Proposal

In the image below you can see some options provided by the kontalk messenger.

What I'm suggesting is that there should be an option available for disappearing messages in the chat section alongside the other options present.

Mockups / Examples

I've presented an example below of how this option should look like. I've placed it alongside the options available to make it easily accessible.

You should be able to set the time after which you want your messages(photos, videos etc) to disappear in a chat.

The above image will pop up when you click on the disappearing messages button.

Benefits

The benefits of having this feature of disappearing messages are:

• Whatever you send in a chat to a user will disappear after a fixed time. Some things that you shouldn't have sent to people can come back to haunt you. Having the option of disappearing messages enabled you won't be in trouble anymore.
• The load of a user can be reduced immensely.
• The impact of sending a message to a wrong person will minimize.
• You will be able to receive a timely response from the users.
  I see this feature to be a great plus in messenger applications and should be implemented in kontalk too.
