This is my introduction as a moderator of Utopian.
Few days ago, @elear wanted every moderator to post their introduction as moderator and almost every moderator has done the same.
So here is mine:
About myself
My name is Syed Umair and I live in kashmir(India).
I have a degree in electronics and communication engineering which I finished in September 2017.
I joined steemit in july 2017 and had no idea what I have got myself into back then.
I started posting on steemit with not much success.
Then I heard about utopian but it took me a while to know utopian and make a contribution.
I started with a suggestion and it was rejected, came back again with a suggestion and faced another rejection.
My third contribution was approved and I started contributing regularly.
I have made contributions in the following categories :
- Suggestions
- Tutorials
- Video Tutorials
- Translations
- Bug hunt
Having made enough contributions I decided to become a moderator and contacted @elear for the job and he told me to contact one if the supervisors. I contacted @espoem and he made me a discord manager whose job is to help users and in the process learn moderation.
After 10 days @ruah took me in his team and enabled me as a moderator to moderate suggestions, translations and tutorials. I have been a moderator for nearly 6 weeks now.
I guess I was 22nd moderator and today we are more than 90 and our family keeps on increasing and growing stronger.
Utopian has nearly 4 million delegated steem power which makes it the most powerful bot on steemit. A few days back we reached 10k contributions and we will be hitting 20k mark soon.
Categories I would like to moderate
Currently I am moderating suggestions, tutorials and translations though I have reviewed limited tutorials.
I also have developed interest in bug hunt category and I would like to moderate bug hunting and drop tutorials if my supervisor allows me to do so.
Qualification
I have bachelors in electronics and communication with some basic knowledge in C programming.
I want to be a developer and as all of you might be aware that @elear is donating a few bucks for the education of moderators and I would like to do a course on development if I get the opportunity.
Why moderation?
Honesty, being a utopian moderator is a very tough job to do as you have check every detail and that takes a lot time. But the thing is I believe in this project and I believe in @elear. He is a man with great vision and I hope that he achieves his goals.
I love moderating as I have a lot of free time to spend on utopian.
If utopian grows which I know it will, you might see me as a full time utopian.
If you have some steem power to delegate, feel free to lend some to utopian and help a good cause and on top of that, you get paid in liquid steem.
I am Utopian!
