If there is anything in the world I am addicted to - next to my green morning drinks - then it is avocado chocolate mousse. It's not as bad that I eat it every day but it's close to it. I admit ;)
So what else could I post for the first round of the #vegandessertcontest hosted by @deliciousplants than my absolute dessert favorite?
As a Belgian, I have always loved my chocolate mousse. Though you can't say vegan chocolate mouse tastes as rich as the real thing, it comes pretty close and that's enough for me. And the best part, it takes less than 5 minutes to make and it's quite healthy so I can eat it every day!!!!
Vegan Avocado Chocolate Mousse Topped With Your Favorite Superfoods (#VeganDessertContest) 🥑🍫
Ingredients (SERVES 2)
- 1 avocado
- 3-4 tablespoons cacao powder
- 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup or 2-3 pitted and chopped dates to sweeten things up
- 2-3 tbsp coconut milk (almond milk works too)
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Superfood topping of your choice (I used goji berries, pepitas (or pumpkin seeds), and sliced almonds)
Directions
Blend all mousse ingredients and top with your fav superfoods or fresh berries work great too!
