Verge was recently endorsed by John McAfee, creator of McAfee anti-virus software, alongside 2 other cryptocurrencies (Monero, Zcash) as the currencies to stand by in 2018 and beyond. John claimed that "privacy coins" would be the future of crypto as people will increasingly desire to keep their transactions private, to prevent governmental agencies snooping around and trying to collect revenue.
