Recently I encountered a problem with getting my crypto account verified, the problem that I have is that I don’t have any ‘banking’ bills statements because I don’t pay out any utility bills, I have one bill that I pay for my ground rent and that covers my electricity, water and stay per month, it’s paid in part cash and part Paypal from whatever earnings I earn via the web be it in crypto or from residual income from my online courses on the respective sites.
So far I’m 2 out 3 verifications for my account but they need another ‘bill’ to be able to validate and confirm the account, this is problematic right now because the statements I run off are not inline in what they expect, we are literally going back and forth trying to find a verification that will work for them. I kinda find it a little crazy that someone trying to get back on the society/financial ladder is hindered in these ways, it took me a while to get a replacement credit union account (because I don’t trust banks) when I had to receive the escrow from twitter back in 2011, since then I’ve been careful about what services I use and I’m desperate to get away from PayPal and have a fresh start in general.
if not stated some of my photos are from unsplash a free site for images, also you can grab some cool images from nomad.pictures a site i run with @dayleeo to get pictures out of the camera roll and onto the web — Photo by Alexandre Chambon on Unsplash
So I just wanted to put this out there to the masses because I wondered if other people have issues with banking/financial services and how you deal with the verifications side of things because I’ve noticed once they have done their due diligence it’s normally plain sailing then and your limits are removed — if I’m gonna be trying to live this crypto life where I can work remotely from anywhere and earn funds same day and discover the services that accept digital money I’m gonna need a couple of accounts that give me a bit of financial breathing room.
Right now, I’m pretty stuck with standard methods.
