I'm sure some of you wonder how you can make your videos sound better.
Ok, so first thing you need is audio editing software. If you don't have access to some of the more expensive audio editing programs on the market, you can download the open source, and FREE software called Audacity here, http://www.audacityteam.org/download/
- If you find your sound level is too low then, using Audacity, you can select your audio clip by importing it.
- Then, you want to go to "Effect" and select "Normalize", then click ok.
- If you find your audio is noisy, you can highlight an "empty" part of the track where you find just the noise, then go to effect and click "Noise Removal" and click get a noise profile. This allows the software to "learn" the noise so that it can remove it from your track.
- Finally, select your entire track (so that the effect will apply to the entire track), go back to "Effect" and click "Noise Removal" again. You can play with the step 2 slider and preview until your track sounds better.

These are some basic ways to get your sound sounding better. To really get your audio to pop you should learn about compression and other effects. But this is a good place to start.
