I think I'll create a basic obstacle course to test things. I thought about working on attacks and particle effects, but I think I should do movement first. I like smooth and detailed character control, and once that's done I'll move on to other things.

I'm also searching through the Unity Asset Store for some cool 3D assets. So far I haven't found any that I like, but I still have time because I'm working on the foundational things for now.
I'm mostly happy with where this is going. I started out with 2.5D super mario in mind, but this is looking more like a prince of persia now (which I don't mind at all because I loved both games in the 90s).
I'll have more details like running jumps, crouched walks, and maybe some flips and other acrobatic moves, etc. I'll be doing some brainstorming.
