Enjoying the weekend with some ARK

I missed playing with friends and have been having too much fun with ARK! 25 minutes after I started the stream last night I got a call so I had to stop the stream for about an hour but then I came back and got a solid 4 + hours in. Knowing I wouldn't get interrupted, I went looking for some dino's to tame, and I'd say it definitely paid off.

Searching for a High Level Megatherium

The higher the level, the stronger they are. It is not exactly easy finding a max level (150) and being ready for it is another obstacle. After searching for quite some time, I lucked out. The goal was to tame the first Megatherium I found that was level 135 or higher. To my surprise, I got found a max level 150!

Finding this guy made my night, and the tame took a bout an hour and it would have taken a lot longer without the mutton. While I was running around scrounging for prime meat, which doesn't stack and spoils quickly, I accidentally ate an Ovis with my rex while randomly biting through a bush. I had no idea it was even there, and my viewcounter hid the name in the screenshot but when I saw that I killed an ovis everything changed for the better!

Here's the moment it happened in a highlight:

I didn't even realize until a few seconds after. Upon opening my inventory, you can see the mutton, but I didn't notice it, turning around to try and find the corpse even though I already had it! My reaction is priceless!

After this, we accidentally found a level 145 Giga during a metal run and quickly hopped on that tame too. One of the most dominant dino's in the game, giga's are absolutely badass. Wild ones are exceptionally dangerous. I didn't tame it myself, Gunny did. I haven't actually tamed a Giga yet, so I wanted to watch him do it. Now that I know how, I'll be ready to tame my own next time.

Tonight I'm excited to play some more and the next big tame would be a much needed bronto. You can basically turn a bronto into a mobile narcotics factory, which means we'll never have a problem running out of tranquilizer darts and arrows to knock out wild dino's with.

Even with high rates, these things take time and preparatino which to me puts ARK among the most content filled games I've ever played.

I run a business at night where I take bar patrons home in their vehicles, so stream interruptions are inevitable but I will typically announce if I'm coming back.
