My wife and the kids were out today visiting friends so I decided to spend my Sunday at the Dash Conference here in London.
The event was literally a 10 minute drive from where I live, it was a last minute decision to go but I thought seeing as Dash (Darkcoin at the time) was the very first cryptocurrency I'd got into, it was only right to go and see what was occurring with the coin now.
An aside, I was buying Darkcoin when it first launched in the beginning of 2014. I remember one time meeting some guy in a warehouse in Limehome (East London) about buying his mining rig, for the sole purpose of buying Dash. I remember he was going to sell it to me for a couple of thousand quid. I didn't get it in the end. Had I taken that money and invested in Darkcoin and continued investing solely in that (through it's transition to Dash), I'd be typing this blog post from a beach in Malibu without a care in the world! Hindsight is a wonderful thing...
Anyone, fate conspired for me to be in The Oval in Hackney listening to the Dash Team preach all things Dash this Sunday..
