But even now we could say that Bitcoin was a prophecy since it has actually been in the works not since its launch in 2009, but since the early 1980s when David Chaum wrote a number of anti-surveillance articles such as Blind Signatures for Untraceable Payments.

This is where the idea of cryptocurrency first came from.

Tim C. May co-founded the Cypherpunks after he came across the work of David Chaum and as their group expanded they began a movement that very likely summoned the advent of "Satoshi Nakamoto".

There were four wise men after David Chaum notable for summoning the king of crypto.
