Yesterday I ended up not publishing my first #vyb-act because I acted: I went to visit the place where I grew up. It's on the coast of my city, I always go there at least once every two months and I usually spend two to four days there. I really love that place, but yesterday it was like I fell in love all over again.
I don't know if you've been through this, but have you ever looked at a place you've always known with a tourist's eyes? The impression it gives is that everything is new and you notice different details that you hadn't noticed before or that have changed over time.
There I met some childhood friends again, some of them with children, like me, some of them without children. We drank a little and had fun in that place that has always been our home. The feeling it gave me was wonderful, but imagine if I hadn't decided to go there? Because I wasn't feeling very well, I could not have gone, I really almost didn't go and if I hadn't gone, I would have missed this moment that was so magical for me and that undoubtedly gave me courage for the rest of the week.
This is what #vyb-act is all about: Taking actions that change your day or your perspective on life. Have you ever tried visiting that old place you haven't been to in a while because for some reason it's lost its fun? How about taking a walk there and realizing that not only the place has changed but you too? And that just because you have changed, you are no longer the same person looking, you are another.
#vyb-act is about living experiences consciously, by choice and not because life has brought you something.
#vyb-act is about living life actively rather than passively.
I invite you all to be a part of it! Make an active choice about your day, share it with us and tag #vyb-act so I can see your post. I invite all curators to also be aware of the great stories that I'm sure will emerge from everyone who joins the project.
A suggestion: Write your post #vyb-act through chapters, as I did now, eg: First post #vyb-act Chapter 1… Second post #vyb-act Chapter 2… etc.
Doubts or suggestions, comment or talk to me on discord!
