Verify Your Brain is a brand new HIVE Tribe that supplements HIVE rewards with the VYB token. I've been checking the vybrainium.com domain everyday this past week. Today is the first day that it let me in; So, I decided to make VYB the Internet Rivers Site of the Day.
The launch of a tribe is one of the most interesting times in the lifecyle of a tribal web site. This is when the members of the tribe discuss what they want to accomplish with their program.
The tribe issued a 1,000,000 token airdrop yesterday; So, the tribe is likely to be extremely active in the upcoming weeks. The airdrop was made with the account @vyb.airdrop on December 17. So you can see who got the airdrop.
I think that it is smart for new users to get involved in new tribes as the launch of a tribe is one of the best times to network on the platform.
My guess is that the tribe has not fully defined itself. Participating at the beginning of a tribe can help set the tribe on a positive future.
The VYB Richlist shows the distributions of the rewards. I bought one HIVE penny and became the 385th person to own the token. It is interesting to sort the richlist by staked value. It is especially interesting to sort by "pending unstake." The pending unstake shows people who simply want to cash in on the airdrop.
I could not find a scotbot configuration page for the site; so I don't know what people need to do receive VYB rewards. My guess is that one needs to include the #VYB tag in the post.
I really wish the HIVE tribes created pages that told users the rules for the tribe and what the public must do to earn the tokens. Many HIVE tribes appear to have secret rules that only the insiders of the tribe know. The assyemtry in knowledge creates a structure where the insiders thrive while outisders simply blunder along.
The posts I read leading up to the airdrop indicate that the tribe dislikes the practice of upvoting one's own posts. Perhaps VYB has a rule that strips the rewards from people who upvote their own posts or that they exclude accounts that use robots.
That would be an interesting rule that might improve engagement.
I confess. I tend to upvote my own posts.
Personally, I think that HIVE has a huge problem with #tagspam . Tag spam happens when users include the keywords for popular tribes without actually contributing to the tribe.
I think it would be great if VYB stripped rewards from people who engaged in tagspam.
I used the tag #POB on this post because #VYB appears to be closely related to the Proof of Brain Tribe. I included #hive-engine as VYB just had an airdrop on Hive Engine.
Of course, I am just an outsider. I have no idea what the tribe is going to do.
I really wish the tribal sites included a page telling the public what they want on their forums and what they want to avoid. HIVE is supposed to be about communication, but the tribes fail to communicate the basic information about what they hope to accomplish with their site.
The Picture Shows a Fence Fail
The picture has nothing to do with the post . A strong wind followed by a snowstorm took down two sections of a fence in the Salt Lake Valley yesterday.
