Isn't January a Great Time to PLAN??
While I go through all my notes and get my supplies for basket weaving this spring at my home, I thought I would share my teacher, Pattie Bagley's BEAUTIFUL baskets!

Pattie does not sell her baskets and I can only assume because it is a lot of work. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the class and Pattie is a hoot if you are okay with not being PC.
Baskets are one of the few things that only people can make which makes it such a unique craft.
My plan for the future is to use the resources around the farm to make baskets of all shapes and sizes. There are even some woven fences that I would like to make for both aesthetics and a as a useful windbreak.
As I was putting this post together, I got up for a moment and looked out my kitchen window. There was a small coyote running towards some outbuildings in the south pasture. Now this is unusual for a number of reasons, but for me it was a scary moment since I thought at least one of my cats was outside and could be the intended meal for this coyote. Luckily, everyone was inside at that moment. I did scare him away with a hand clap and lots of calling to my cats. Whew! Guess everyone is staying inside today.
Take care and be well!!!
