In this video, Michael Ulm showcases his process of building Illuminated Cube Stools. Inspired by minimalist design, these modular furniture units are made from white oak plywood with edge banding. Michael starts by gluing on the edge banding and then proceeds to cut the panels into squares. He labels each piece for accuracy and ensures a proper fit before reinforcing the joints with dominoes. The stools feature a back panel with a rabbet joint and an access panel for the light fixture. After applying a one-coat finish, the stools are complete.
