DEWALT (DCCS677Z1) 60V FLEXVOLT 20" Brushless Chainsaw 5AH, Yellow
By: Matthias Wandel
This Dewalt 60-volt brushless chainsaw review highlights both the positive attributes and the flaws of the product for potential buyers. The robust electric chainsaw is capable of powering through compacted branches with ease, making it the most powerful electric chainsaw used by the reviewer. Furthermore, the chainsaw comes with a range of practical features, including handle distance for ergonomic comfort, rapid motor braking for safety, and compatibility with other Dewalt 60 watt batteries. However, the chainsaw has a notable downside in its tendency to throw chains. The narrow bar and small sprocket are likely contributors to this issue, resulting in frequent disruptions to the work.
In addition, the chainsaw comes with a lock for the trigger, which can be quite inconvenient for prolonged use. The chain tensioning mechanism also seems inadequate, as the chainsaw's bar may still wiggle when tightened fully. The presence of fine screws to pull in the cooling air may also pose a potential issue, as they could easily get clogged with oily chips, potentially damaging the motor. Given these concerns, while the Dewalt chainsaw proves itself as a powerful tool, it may require further improvement to address end-user issues reliably.
