The video is a review of the new Makita multi-tool, focusing on the innovative blade system it offers, which seems to be the highlight of this product. Upgrades include reduced noise levels, weight reduction, and introduction of an LED light. However, the most crucial and noteworthy improvement is the easy-to-change blade system. The multi-tool leverages Makita's unique blend of the 'starlock' system for its blades, combining the advantages of the cordless Bosch system with great compatibility across a variety of blades.
Although there is a minor inconvenience of having an extra pin in the system, the Makita multi-tool stands out by supporting all the three types of 'starlock' blades - something even Bosch's cordless system doesn't fully support. The only small drawback could possibly be if you happen to misplace the pin, which seems to be critical for attaching different blades. This Makita multi-tool provides a very viable and cost-effective alternative to pricier options in the market, especially considering the life span of the 'starlock' blades.
