Ever in that situation where you have a model that is identical to everyone elses?
No worries!
There are many ways you can play around to have your own customized version of a model with very simple and easy steps.
For example let us look at my Lieutenant conversion:
For starters a simple head swap. Its the most basic way to make something feel a bit more like YOUR model. In this case I removed the hooded head and replaced it with a lovely knightly looking helmet with the Chapter icon on it as well as a fancy lense thingy. In this case it was some work as this model’s head is molded onto the body but as long as you are careful it isn’t too hard!
Next a basic weapon swap- even if it is the same type of weapon- always spices things up. In this case I replaced the Plasma Pistol with something a bit more fancy. I decided to use this particular one here as I won’t have use for it in upcoming projects.
And lastly in this case I have magnetized the one arm and have a Storm Shield that I can put on when I feel like it.
Other than these what else can you do to make it even more custom?
Well for starters (in terms of Space Marines) you can always swap out the shoulder pads for something more detailed or even just more simple. As well as a backpack swal (I kept this one on as its a pretty cool one).
