Commenting script I was using till yesterday on my website was provided by LiveRe and I am currently having a problem with scripting and social media accounts. An issue with this script is that the LiveRe support team seems inactive in order to resolve the issue and I was hopeful to receive a prompt solution.
The rest of a group doesn't use Twitter and they assured me that they will never use it. They collectively decided to focus on platforms that align with their preferences and values, with Twitter not making the cut.
The next big network used by a pretty big chunk of population is the Facebook. But the main center of the interest is Discord.
Despite Facebook's popularity, Discord is the preferred platform for younger users ( artist, gamers, interest groups, even educators). It is versatile and very ease of use, so I am not surprised.
Having a social snippets for sharing seems entirely redundant as an every browser can have an extension, and mobile browser have share function preinstalled. All the code snippets on a website can also lead to a slower loading time, which can be (IS!) frustrating for visitors.
We all agree that no social network promotes healthy work habits and most of them are time wasters. While social media can be a great tool for networking and keeping in touch, I think of the time we spend on it and how to prioritize some other things.
Building a social media presence instead of a website at hand seems like a horrible waste of time.
Also creating quality content simply requires time, and making some awesome stuff can have a much greater long-term impact than spending time trying to build a large social media following within any social media website.
