Yesterday and Today
It snowed again yesterday, the day before we had our driveway plowed, and it was free of snow for all of maybe if we were lucky 12 hours. Then it started to fill back up, oh well winter in Alaska.
That really is a full living color photograph and it has not been made into a black and white image. There just was no real color to be seen. I like how the snow blob just seems to be screaming "bah winter still". It was still a greyish black and white day at home, and we really needed to make it down to Homer.
Today
So for today I went with a theme for my pictures. It was a nice sort of day in Homer today, they at least had some blue sky and color. Sky was light blue and the water looked a nice deep blue. Got a couple of boats passing by the seagull trying to take a dip in the water. It was pretty windy and cold even though the sun was shining, it was cold with the wind. Some nice chop on the water from the wind though.
On the other side of the small building, (the nicely done toilets), I was trying to shelter myself from the wind, I was able to capture this shot of a helicopter flying by.
More things flying in the sky, a seagull and a plane.
Last one, another boat, and a lot of floating seagulls.
There is not much snow left on the ground in Homer, even a little bit of green grass showing through in spots. It was a pretty good day at the end of the road, even though it was a cold wind.
