Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share a few photos from a nice beach trip we took recently!

Early Morning Beach Walk
Getting onto the beach first thing in the morning is a pretty awesome thing, although for us it is pretty rare!
We took a short trip the other day and visited the beach to get some R&R, since I've been working pretty intensely over the past few months, with the whole new company thing and all. I've been looking forward to taking some time off, but finding an opportunity can be tricky. Thankfully a holiday is just the time! Lots of people are also off, and it makes for less emails and shit to come back to, that's for sure lol.
One of the mornings on the trip, I needed to get up and go get some liquid fuel, aka coffee, and noticed that the weather outside was actually freaking gorgeous! I took a very short stroll before I ran back to the room and thankfully my son was awake, so I made it a point to take his little butt out here for a nice jaunt.
It's funny, I have a few photos from Galen that I absolutely love. His beach photos of water at the end of the day, with the crazy and beautiful reflection of the sun. I've been trying to find a good time to re-create those in my own beach, and I don't think I managed to do it on this one, but I'm still going to keep trying! Haha
I love starting the day on the beach, especially when the tide is out or going out. The sand is wide open, the weather is perfect and the best way you can start a day is to get direct sunlight on your face, in your unfiltered eyes (no sunglasses!!) and on your skin. Evolutionarily, these are so important for our bodies well-being that we've developed quite a few bodily functions for this, such as converting the sun exposure to Vitamin D, and many others. There are some studies over the past few years that shows that we produce low levels of natural light spectrums in our bodies like in our gut which is pretty remarkable! Light is REALLY important for us!
It for sure doesn't hurt that the scenery is also beautiful.. haha. I love going to the mountains and all that for sure, and that can produce some absolutely stunning scenery and photography chances, but beaches also do it quite well! You just have to get some decent conditions and the photos are pretty dope.
We took a nice stroll down one part of the beach for this one, and found some pretty cool things. I will be splitting the photos into different posts and I don't think I'll make multiple Wednesday Walk ones, but it was really a phenomenal morning to enjoy! I was glad to be able to take my son out there for the fresh air and exposure, as kids need it far more than we realize.
One of the things that makes me partially sad is the photos that I really WANTED to come out awesome, didn't really pan out sadly lol. The peninsula there was covered in this thick blanket of fog and it was fucking incredible to see! Seeing it with your eyes is a lot different than seeing it via a phone camera, sadly lol. I don't normally take my DSLR camera, but I certainly wish I did on this opportunity!
We ended up spending about 90 minutes poking around the beach that morning, getting a great start to the day with lots of energy. It was a perfect way to start the day, especially because a couple days later we got quite a bit of rain for a few days and we had no other chance to get out there for a beautiful start!
