My photos for #wednesdaywalk are in a cemetery. I’ve combined the post with #cemeteryphotos.
Wednesday Walk is hosted by @tattoodjay and Cemetery Photos hosted by @melinda010100.
This cemetery is in St. Georges, Kings County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The church doors were opened to the surrounding community in September 1860.

Hubs and I were driving by and stopped to walk around because it looked like a beautiful place with the statues and iron archway at the entrance.

Many of the older country churches have closed or combined into a central one. Although not a heavily populated area, St. George’s Catholic Church is still active with Mass once a week.

View of St. George’s church as you approach from the road. From this angle it looks like you would drive straight into it but the road does turn to safely pass the church.

Some of the gravestones:

The cemetery is on an incline but easy to walk around.
I always love seeing the Celtic crosses. Mostly these crosses are on the older gravestones.
This small Celtic cross grave marker is carved from wood.
I don’t know anyone resting in this country cemetery but may they all Rest In Peace.
