It is often mentioned that the two have many similarities: some countries go hard on them while others make them part of their economy because both have a great potential yet to be unleashed. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that there are blockchain projects out there looking to satisfy the cannabis market’s needs. Some of them represent established weed facilities, such as WeedMD, that aims to introduce blockchain into their production. Others, like Budbo, develop blockchain-based software that will secure the origin of weed and build the plant variety database. One project, AgroTechFarm, creates mountable automated growth equipment looking to use blockchain in a similar way. However, we couldn’t find other projects that would propose to combine mining of popular cryptocurrencies with the growth of cannabis and choose ICO as a funding model.

WEEDO represents a real-life solution for two industries that are projected to shift into higher gear in the nearest future: cryptocurrency and cannabis. By doing so they offer everyone, regardless of their local and national regulations, to profit from the two which we find to be a unique opportunity. However, it is surprising that they only have a small team of eight and just one advisor. What’s more surprising is that the LinkedIn profiles of the WEEDO’s two key people, CEO and CMO, do not feature their position with the project. We recommend that they change that to increase trust and demonstrate their determination.
Around 28,182 WEEDO tokens have been purchased within two days of presale which accounts for 2,8% of their soft cap which is 1,000,000 tokens. We will keep our eye on this project.
