Steemit is a wonderful place. It has been a huge blessing in my life and it's brought me amazing friends, so much freedom and immense abundance.
Steemit can also be a tough place and not everyone ends up staying. Although it is sad to see people leave the platform we understand.
It has been quite some time since Davao has joined the SteemPh family and they truly have been missed.
We have seen the rise of @SteemPh.Cebu, @SteemPh.Manila, @SteemPh.Iligan and now we would like to embrace @SteemPh.Davao back into the family.
Please welcome the new head of Steemit Philippines Davao, @dandalion
Danda first came into my radar through the first Project Alinaga event. Core 8 didn't have a representative present but thanks to @steemitph and @dandalion the event was covered and relayed back to the Steemit community with such heart and elegance from both of them, I remember smiling to myself that day and thinking how amazing these people were.

I was tasked to handle one of the 4 groups. I was to make sure that the children were able to use the art materials properly and ensure that no one would get hurt in the activity. It was my first time to interact with kids with special needs and I was quite nervous. I imagined it would be difficult to give the children instructions and was worried that someone would get hurt under my watch. But being with them is nothing different from being with my girls, my mother's instinct kicked in and I absolutley enjoyed every minute I was with them. Source
Ever since then I have kept a close eye on her, watching her grow from strength to strength. Taking on more responsibilities and contributing to the #SteemPh community, showing us the compassionate community leader that she is.

For those who are unaware, Danda is a Davao native and when you speak to her or even when you read her posts about Davao, you know where her heart is.
She is a Davao girl through and through.
Not just word but actions.
Further testament to her commitment to the Davao community is her Project Proposal | SteemPH in Libertad National High School (Samal Island, Davao del Norte)

Libertad National High School Grade 7 Classroom
As dismal as the rooms may be, there's actually something more sinister that the students experience in their daily lives. My brother tells me that some of his pupils eat rice with sea salt for lunch. SEA SALT! Why would the students need to eat sea salt when there is so much land, where they can grow their food.
This was the point when I decided that I have to do something. WE have to do something.
She and her family will be doing just that in April 2018.
@dandalion's presence and contribution to our community is truly invaluable. She add's that extra glimmer of hope, kindness and commitment to our Family and it is truly an honor to have her leading Davao to greatness.
Thank you Danda. To say we're all happy to have you on board is an understatement, I have no doubt you will do amazing things for the Steemit and Davao communities.
