I am Rebecca Powers and my mission is to elevate well-being. I am an activist, consultant, event planner, and eco-blogger based in Central Texas. I currently serve as President of the Center for Natural Living and am happy to introduce PERMApowers, a consulting firm and blog with a focus on well-being, personal + business development, and sustainable living.
I believe that we are now entering a new realm of human consciousness and my goal is to research, share, and highlight the trends paving the way for this transformation.
I began PERMApowers in an effort to explore how to reach a life of meaning, fulfillment, and happiness.
The PERMA model is an aspect of well-being theory, developed by positive psychologist Martin Seligman. The elements of PERMA include:

I, Rebecca Powers, would describe myself as a creative solution seeker, who consistently questions the status quo. After years of effort within the realm of policy, I began to realize that authentic change must start at an individual level.

A centralized, coercive, and manipulated arrangement of power is not sustainable in the long term, and it is important to explore what is. I am interested in encouraging alternative, voluntary, decentralized institutions which will some day afford humanity an opportunity to make the existing model obsolete. Lead by example, do so in style.
By sharing my personal PERMApowers journey, I hope to encourage others to seek well-being for themselves at a micro-level and amplify this energy toward society at large.
