You read about whale sharks being the biggest fish in existence but you don’t realize how big they truly are until you see one face to face with a human being.
These gentle giants of the deep are usually not aggressive and would normally avoid contact with divers, but this big boy was in pain. I thought that any trash we pollute our oceans with wouldn’t be able to hurt a creature this big, but apparently I vastly underestimated how fast we’re killing our planet. When the whale shark approached the diver he noticed a huge commercial fishing rope wrapped around the animal… cutting into its fins.
There was only one thing to do but it wasn’t going to be easy
