What's that noise?! Oh no, that doesn't sound good. Not good at all. I saw a crushed Tall Boy Corona Light can not far from my left front tire when I got out to inspect. But that was real wishful thinking, lol.
I had my buddy Tom listen close while I went in reverse and drive, just a few feet. Neither him nor I could figure out what it was.
Mind you, I got a full inspection, new rear brakes and rotors, and an AC blower motor replaced before we left. I should not be having issues...
Nothing was dragging, which I've dealt with before. Whether it was the muffler on my 91' Grand Am coupe that separated and instantly turned my car into the loudest thing on earth, or the shield guard which came loose on my MKT after my local mechanic didn't tighten it back in properly.
This was very similar. But it was coming specifically from the front tire area, mostly the left side.
I suspected it was my brakes. But I've dealt with bad brakes before too, that sound was more like a grinding than this noise, and only when I'd brake. This was constant.
As tired as we were, the kids being out in the sun all day at the pool, and myself in a different city most the day, we just wanted to get home. This was the last thing we wanted to deal with.
Luckily for us, there was a mechanic shop not far away. Hopefully they could tell us what was wrong.
I hope you'll check out the newest vid of an exhilarating experience figuring out what the heck was making this noise!
Feel free to take a guess at what it is and see if you're right!
Thanks for reading & watching. Hive on y'all.
