I just found this fabulous co-working space in Rochester: Dragon CoWorking
Desk and Wi-Fi rental 5 days a week, 13 hours a day for only £120/ month.... other packages are available, even a 24/ 7 package, which is giving me all sorts of naught ideas about saving even more money on housing, although I think it's explicitly written down somewhere that I'm not actually allowed to live here.
I've yet to really bed-in (not literally) as I'm very new to this co-working (space) thing... only approximately 7 hours in, in fact, but I kind of like it.... there's just the right kind of work buzz and sociability about the the place. I can even forgive the bean-bag cliche.
I figured that it's worth £120 a month to get a decent desk space... I've already got more done today than I did camping the whole of last week. What a difference a desk makes!
Here's the view from my present hot-desk window.... and of course I bagged the best spot, but that's early bird's rights I guess.
The view of the river in the background is tempting me to buy a canoe. In fact surfing for one might be a good late P.M. activity, I'm feeling kind of burnt.
