Just on my way home from 2.5 days teacher training in Plymouth – with only two learners on the course, with a third joining for the micro-teach day today. Teaching such small numbers was a bit bizarre at first, but basically fine!
I’d assumed this would have meant shorter days, but much to my surprise we ended up talking more than if there were 12 learners – I guess that’s down to the particular individuals being up for discussing things, which is much easier than having to pad things out!
I’ve actually quite enjoyed myself on the whole – I’ve really just had 2.5 days of conversation.
I also got to go for quite a nice run reckie last night and have some fish and chips outside, seemed rude not too as it was a stunning early evening, and then this a.m. I got out for a 6.45 6K run along the sea front, so over all it’s not been a bad little trip. I even got to enjoy this stunning view from my Travelodge window:
Just a shame I’ve got a 4 hour return train journey ahead of me, and I’m not really in the mood for working on the train, but that’s what I’m gonna have to force myself to do – I’m teaching again early next week and so I’ve got to get ahead with all the other work.
Still, I just can’t down the relatively easy money – that’d be looking a gift horse in the mouth.
