I have been looking for a white collar job for a while now but i still like to have control of my life. I see Steemit has work i enjoy doing because it keeps me busy and i am grateful for that, but i still have control of my time. If i was working in a white collar job, i won't have had enough control of my time.
what is white collar job?
definition of white collar job from the dictionary;
white collar work means employees whose job are largely or entirely mental or clerical work such has an office.
In a white collar job the people working there are usually under a form of authority that guides the time and so the people don't usually have control of their time.
In a white collar job, you have to wake up early in the morning to go to work because normally work start by 8am in the morning. It also means that people who are in white collar job don't really have control of went to go to bed, they have to go to bed early to wake up on time.
This is something i know because when i was young growing up my parents had to go to bed early so that they can be able to to wake up time for work because they were working in a white collar job. I also know that working in a white job, you can be queried or panelized by the authorities for doing something wrong like coming late to work.
I know people who are involved in white collar jobs that have been sacked from work because they constantly went to work late. Also working in a white collar job can bring you stress especially if you are queried by the authorities. I know somebody who was involved in a white job who was stressed because of a query of Corruption he got from his office and because of this he committed suicide.
This is what happens when you don't have enough control of your life, it stress you out and anything adverse can happen from there.
Even the people involved in white collar jobs are not really excited about the work. I see some of them, when Friday comes they excited that it is weekend and they don't have to go to work. Also when Monday comes, they get sad they Monday has come because they have to go to to work.
Also There are days that i need to go out during the rush hour and the traffic i meet are always stress and i will be say to myself that this is another stress people who are involved in a white collar job have to face. This is also something they have to face when the are coming from again. But what can they do, they must survive. I still have respect for people involved in white collar jobs because that is what my parent did and used to train us in life, so i have regard for people involved in white collar jobs.
But am still very grateful for steemit. I can wake up at any time to work on steemit and no one will query me for anything. Basically am grateful for steemit because it has really given me freedom.
I want to appreciate my friend who is evolving to be a brother @olawoleolaide. He was the first Nigerian i met when i joined steemit. Been in decentralised platform like steemit, there was no central unit you could to for guidance so it was not quite easy for new users to navigate their way easily which included me. But my friend @olawoleolaide guided me to an extent. This is what helped discover other ways near on steemit and i appreciate him for that.

Back to the main topic. I do not mind still securing a white collar job for myself because i belief that it will be a source of investment for me steemit. But for now i am grateful for steemit for keeping me busy and still able to control my time. Shalom. @yaanivapeji.
