Runner up was @richardjuckes with his poem about the blockchain
Shall I invest in the Federal Reserve,
Place my trust in the powers that be?
Leave my myself open to all kinds of abuse,
Or learn how to use a crypto currency?
One time the dollar did so brightly shine,
Though long since has his golden value dimm'd;
And every fiat from its peg sometimes declines,
By chance, or an algorithm, trimm'd.
But thy user base shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of the work they post,
Nor if the connection lag shall bugs invade,
When in eternal lines of code thou grow'st.
So long is the blockchain, now not a dream;
So bright the future with so much Steem.

I loved that both entries were poetry and of all the creative ways that people could have posted, poetry most definitely espressed both poets gratitude for steemit
