My first post on Hive. I don't know if it is de rigeour to announce your presence publically or just to get on with blogging.

I like to blog. I like thinking and I think best when I am writing.

I believe in many things that people would call far out or even crazy. That doesn't bother me though. Part of the thinking condition is the ability to reason and learn through discourse.

It is said that trying to convince someone on the internet of something is like trying to lick your own elbow.

I can't say for certain. It might have been the copious amounts of mushrooms I consumed but one time in my teens, I think I just might have done that.

Makes me open to ideas, to convincing and being convinced.

It is too easy to be disrespectful here in the online-i-verse.

I might be an old crank. I might believe in Aliens and that the ground beneath our feet is not quite what we think but you won't find me name calling.

I won't pepper my writing with terms like sheep for those who think differently.

I respect those who think differently.

Besides, didn't someone once say:

If you don't feed the sheep then the sheep will die.

I believe it is so.
