the looming decay in our world today has informed an appraisal of the virtue "virginity" - v. Amah
This writing is made with interest of addressing ethical issues and the general concept of chastity which is a major virtue our generation is yearning for.
THE CONCEPT OF VIRGINITY
A forest is said to be virgin if it has not yet been exploited, the same view applies to land and some natural places also. oil is said to be crude when it is yet unrefined. it has to pass through several process of refining. in the case of humans, they are said to be virgins when they keep themselves pure.
purity here is a state of complete abstinence from the abuse and use of opposite sex until marriage.
just like deforesters who are impatient to wait for the forest to mature; man has been impatient and cant wait to unravel the most sacred part of their natural inheritance.
are you still a virgin?
Francoise Giroud (1916-2003) a Swiss born French politician, a Journalist and Editor, answers NO. there are only girls who have not yet crossed the line, because they want to preserve their market value, call the virgin if you wish but these are travelers in transit.
virginity is indeed a virtue. it is a state of being unspoiled, pure. purity here is an expression of the mind and heart. it imbibes in us the culture of saying no, enables us to allow our lives to be uncontaminated. it kills the urge, desire or hunger for sex or to be promiscuous. a lot of youth cannot stay or chat with an opposite sex for some moment without lusting after him or her. your will must be strong if you must overcome. it begins with dealing with your mindset and accepting no other alternative of being pure.
the word virginity could mean unexplored, unexploited, reserved, and just as one has been since birth and its a state of the mind.
