Here I am after an eventful day sitting here with "nothing" to write about. No burning-hot subject matter to share on the blockchain and no sage advice to shout into the ether.
So of course I started writing...
Writing about having nothing to write about is actually something to write about and continues the benefits of creating content every single day. It's also a starting point to germinate new ideas and helps improve the craft of expressing myself in this digital world.
Not to mention the added fact that it might help someone else going through the same thing here as a blogger. And that's what we're here for aren't we? To create content that adds value to Hive.
Is It "Hive-Worthy?"
Of course saying that there is nothing out there to satisfy my literary muse is absolute poppycock. So many things happened today that could have been fodder for content creation, but the question with me was "are they Hive-worthy?"
That simply means is there something that I think might be useful or of interest to the brethren here on Hive and LeoFinance? However after careful consideration, it was obvious that this subject fits in beautifully for those that are new to the platform as well as veterans seeking that creative spark.
We've all been there of course wondering where to go next in our blogging journey. The point is to get something started in order to help keep those mental muscles in tip-top shape.
I find that freewriting by itself can help drive the process of planting seedlings that may grow into useful content creation ideas. My original intent was to simply engage by commenting on others posts. And while I will do that, it seemed like too easy of a way out, so I made the choice of putting "pen" to digital paper and just started writing.
It kind of reminds me of those old newsreels from the early days of automobiles where the guy had to turn a hand crank in order to start the car. That's what this feels like, a few turns of the crank and viola! She's starting up.
When There Is One, Others Will Follow...
I really love it when the paragraphs start coming together almost as if I'm just a conduit receiving the text from beyond. It's like when songwriters say that the lyrics just come to them, and they have to get them down quickly before they drift away to another lyricist open to receive them.
Often, once the process starts, it can quickly lead to the sprouting up of other ideas for new blog posts as well. Thus, the fount of creativity is unleashed. So the next time you find that trusty Ford Model T needs a little goosing, just grab ahold of that mental hand-crank and start cranking! :)
