Whether you believe in human accelerated climate change or not, it is clear that our activities can affect our surroundings. Ocean acidification is increasing at a rapid pace as is the melting of polar caps. This change in the ocean can really disturb the food chain. Its projected that by the end of this century most corals will be surrounded by water that could be dissolving the coral. Usually what I think people disagree with is whether or not we can have a lasting affect in trying to curve whats happening. Their are many different views and science changes a lot. Ideas get developed, extended and define. But conclusions are rarely ever final. You could think of it as a process, through vigorous testing and discovery. Climate science consensus is a very powerful warning.
There is no doubt anymore and we truly have contributed to what is going. We must not take what we have now for granted. Many can feel separate from it all because its not immediately threatening them. We are watching the train race into a blizzard that we know is a few miles ahead. Reasonable skepticism is cool and all but we must consider the risks into the future. We are playing with things we may not be able to reverse. Its so hot they recently could fly planes in Phoenix. There seems to be heatwaves ravaging the West. I don't understand why even if the people warming were wrong, we wouldn't try to do something about it anyways. This is really a global disaster waiting to happen and time doesn't wait.
