"Only if time were a vehicle which could be driven in reverse! We should definitely do something special today. Who knows when we'll be able to meet again!!!", exclaimed Aman.
"Dude, we are at my farmhouse, sharing our 'real-life' horror stories in a pollution-free environment around bonfire! How much more special can we make it from here?", said Arjun furiously, throwing one more twig at fire and missing it!
"Yeah, sure! And what about the other aspects? We're out of weed and Rahman chacha is in jail. Power is out and we're in this jungle like area around 200 kilometres from Hyderabad with no modes of transportation at this time. Who knows whether Jeel will miss ", said Aman with a smirk on face.
"Did you guys hear that?", I asked as I heard a rustling sound not too far from behind, again. I looked behind in the direction of sound. Nothing. Just our own footprints on the path back to the farmhouse. I sensed the wrong timing of my words immediately.
"Enough with horror stories, Sahaj!", Jeel grumbled.
"I'm serious. Not good timing, I agree! But this is second time I heard it.", almost begging them to believe me.
"Probably Avni would have woken up.", hypothesized Arjun.
"She is far too intoxicated for that. Remember how she almost killed that bike rider today", I argued.
"Chal Sahaj, let's go and see if she's awake and okay".
"No! I'm not coming. It's better to be far from unknowns than to go towards it!", I declined.
"Stop being pussy, bro! Arjun and I'll go to check on her. And for God's sake, if something does happen here, don't go behind Jeel to hide.", laughed Aman mockingly.
Jeel sate beside me. After almost a minute of silence, where they couldn't see Aman and Arjun anymore. Jeel asked with low yet angry tone, "What's wrong with you? What was that all about? You never behave like this. What was that sound like, exactly?"
"I always liked and you and wanted to express it in person and this was the last chance. I love you! "
"Oh, so it was the sound of love!"
