I’m standing at my computer in a sleep-deprived haze and just posted this self-care reminder to Twitter. Figured I should check in here, too.
Self-care is crucial.
Distractions.
Several off-chain rabbit holes have sucked me in, and I’m happy about most of them, but it gives me less time to blog.
I have two books and a friend’s manuscript to read, plus I’m deep into editing one of my own manuscripts. Also, Twitter is fun but distracting.
I’ve been seeking escape lately, in music and fiction. Last night I stayed up too late watching a Marvel movie simply because I wanted to laugh and take my mind off life for a while. Ragnarok, in case you’re wondering—for the second time—because those brothers and that Valkyrie are yummy.
Mostly, I’ve been wanting to live in my own story, loving the journey back into manuscripts I let sit for over a year. Magic, dragons, love and uncertainty—yep, I’m good.
Anyway, that’s where I’m at. Zombie mommy reporting for duty. Probly ought to go to sleep early tonight. Anyone want to wager on whether I actually do so?
Whatever happens, keep singing your song!
Peace. @katrina-ariel
