For way too long I have been wanting to write a book on something I feel proficient at and as I am getting ever closer to answering my inner question "what can I bring to the world that is of maximum benefit to all addressed?" I feel it is high time I started this new endeavor right now.
Enough planning and consideration has already gone into it, I know how to structure it all but I am curious to learn more on the craft of writing a book upfront, in the hopes of diffusing some of the major pitfalls that writing a book can bring with it. And what better way to do so than to ask my readers, you, for any advice or essential pointers to learn how to write a book?

I know many of you are awesome writers, not just on steem but out of general passion for creation, the arts and formulating ideas that are otherwise hard to pin down.
What resources would you recommend for someone wanting to write his first book? Anything that stands out in terms of usefulness, utility or relevance to the questions that come up when writing a book?
Have any of you ever written a "guide", a "how to" or a "manual" of sorts?
It will not be a book about fiction, it won't be a novel or a fairytale, it will be a manual on how to restore some of the body's natural functions that have become brittle and weak due to unnatural habits and the wrong type of mindset, a result of being conditioned all our lives and putting all our faith in authorities who "always know better than myself what the body needs to restore its optimum working conditions".
And so I am asking you if you have any pointers for me, any advice or anything you wished you had known before you started your writing project, things you learned and wished you would have been aware of before you committed.
I have read Stephen King's "On Writing" which was a useful and rather resonant piece of literature as there were many tricks conveyed I wanted to be true but didn't know whether they were before I read it. Good to have that in the back of my mind now. But it largely relates to fiction and the captivating telling of a palpable and relatable story, moreso than to a "how to" guide or manual for learning.
For my book it is more about conveying strategies to go about achieving a desired goal, training the body in ways that have become unhabitual for most concerned, and I want to pour all the ideas and experiences into this book that have helped me achieve the result that anyone who wants to read this book is after.
I also want to make it an audiobook, and record a new seres of videos for it, maybe also offer webinars to the theme. But I figure since most will ask eventually about the book - where I condense the whole story down into pages - I might as well start there and collect.
Doing the broad chapter outline, concerning all the various pieces and bits of knowledge pertaining to the journey and then start formulating the chapters out one by one, adding ideas where needed and "waiting" for the entire outline to be finished before heavy editing and restructuring of the all blocks.
To all the writers out there: Any input is appreciated. Resources, strategies, experiences, pitfalls, revelations along your journey.
I would also consider such a collection of writer's advice an enormous benefit to anyone else coming across it in the future, so if you feel addressed by these questions please share your bits of advice in the comments.
