There is a spot in Utah that has had alot of attention for those interested in UFOs and other paranormal activity. The area of Fort Duchesne is where Skinwalker Ranch is located. Its considered the hottest spot for such activity. There were Native American tribes battling in the area a long time ago, and one tribe put a curse on the other. Causing the land to be affected by a creature called "The Skinwalker". Since then people have reported on strangeness all over the region. As they say where the Skinwalker walks strangeness will occur. In the 1990s it seems the activity really amped up, and the Skinwalker Ranch property was sold by the traumatized famer living there and sold it to Robert Bigelow, the owner of Bigelow Aerospace.
Recently the History channel did a documentary on the location and studied the place. I watched this documentary and I noticed while the caretakers of the property were listening to the scientists on how to test the area, they got uneasy when any digging was mentioned. It was brought up multiple times and the locals were quite against any digging.
In episode 1 its even titled "Bad Things Happen When You Dig"

The caretakers go on to talk about how when any digging has been done on the property it tends to amp up the strangeness that occurs. And in the deed of this property there is a clause mentioning no digging can be done on this property. A strange thing to list in the deed of the property, it was left there by many owners ago and as the property sold to new owners the clause remained.
I brought up Skinwalker Ranch's location on Google Maps and saw that the property was almost surrounded by natural gas wells. Also known as fracking sites. These sites will pump liquid into drilled holes to extract natural gas that forms deep underground. In Utah fracking began in the 1960s and has continued since then.
Strangeness does not only occur on the property of Skinwalker Ranch, but all around the Uinta Basin. Many residents have their own stories to tell of sightings. This entire basin is dotted with natural gas wells and makes me wonder if the strangeness found in the area is being affected by the digging/drilling all of these fracking sites do.
As mentioned earlier the caretakers mention digging is only done as a last resort, and in the deed of the land of Skinwalker Ranch it says permission is needed before doing any excavation or digging on the land.
I wonder if fracking rig operators in the area have some amazing stories to tell about unexplained phenomena. I know right now the industry is really suffering, and maybe if some of these rig operators leave the business they may have some stories to tell once there is no risk of being fired or not being able to get a job in the industry again due to talking about it. Pilots are in a similar situation, as they see many explained lights and even craft in the sky but if talked about can adversely affect their job opportunities.
Something else that comes to mind when thinking about fracking attracting UFO and strange unexplained attention is how nuclear facilities has had many sightings of UFOs near by. And even interaction with interference with the launch control systems.
It would seem as if there is advanced life out there, its been focusing on our most deadly weapons and material known to man. And it would be thought as them telling us to stop using that stuff as it could completely ruin the planet. The same could be said about fracking, in how it may be causing damage to the Earth that may never be fixed again. It would seem the UFO sightings started around the time atomic testing was being done, and maybe there a relation to how fracking has the same effect.
I would like to travel to the Uinta Basin and find out for myself or at least experience something that has been described by many that live there. Maybe if I camp at some of the local state parks I can come back with a sighting or something substantial. Probably want to do that during the spring or early summer as the winters seem quite brutal in the area. But for the moment I will need to wait, as that is just too far for me to travel at this time. But it is on my list of spots to check out, along with the San Louis Valley in Colorado. Another hotspot for UFO activity, a place that @carrieallen lives and has told many interesting stories about from the region.
Until then ill enjoy watching documentaries made on it and do my best to track updates as they happen online.
I watched all of season one of "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" and really enjoyed getting a look inside of the ranch. Looking forward to season 2. Brandon Fugal, the current owner of Skinwalker ranch also did an audio interview on Coast to Coast AM this year. Im still listening through it but lots of good info in there.
Addresses below to help me buy better camera equipment and support me to travel to locations to do photo and video and overall great blogs in new places. I would be happy to list some of the contributors in my posts for donations that help me along the way.
