Dear Nephew,
Since I last wrote, you seem to be making quite an impression on the world, and some of your public comments and 'tweets' have been real LOL moments for me, to be sure. I particularly enjoyed how you have militarily destroyed a few little countries that most people had never even heard of with one hand, while at the same time casually picking your nose with the other.

While I commend you for your enthusiasm and admire your vigor, I have to wonder if you might be taking this transparency business a bit too far? There is a certain subtlety and grace in maintaining evil that you seem to be missing, and while we occasionally do show the public how our business really works in order to maintain fear and helplessness in the public mind, we have always managed to deliver such transparency in small, harmless doses. We aim to sedate the public with promises of truth, and while we let them smell the rotting fish, we don't slap them in the face with it.
The public has long been asking for transparency in their leaders, and those leaders have been promising that transparency for just as long. Of course, a leader's face could never publicly show the true levels of corruption and lies that really hold their society together, simply because they would risk destroying the sentimental foundations of law and order in the public mind, which is a foundation that keeps the emotions of the people stirring, making it real for them. The people want their leader to be a fairly good liar, and that leader's face is expected to be both criminally inclined and trustworthy.
Verily, the human face that we plaster onto the construct is supposed to be the target of everyone's criticism and hatred, a target which your face is well suited for, but the spectacle that you are causing is like nothing we could have anticipated, even in our darkest council. Indeed, we would have advised against your approach if we had been given the opportunity before you began your act. We had hoped that you might at least ask the approval of your elders before you so carelessly began tampering with our mirage, so that we could have better managed the illusion of your authority there as a legitimate but well-hated leader.
The construct that you have managed to find yourself clowning on top of has been carefully built in a way that suites us, and in that construct, the souls who depend on our words have built the world for us with their sweat and blood, making our words their own, and our desires theirs. You don't think they are going to willfully destroy their own planet for us, do you? This herd takes constant supervision, and the pastures that we've made for them to bleat out their fabricated dreams will always require daily maintenance, just like their little dreams require a never-ending supply of manure as fuel. It's an ugly idea that we've provided them, but it can only be maintained if they really believe that it was their invention.
Some members of the council are concerned about your golf game, and they do have a valid point when they ask: shouldn't you be playing more golf, and talking less? The population below you is happy to play in their cute parks with their cherished baseballs and footballs, and that population has come to accept that you will of course play with golf balls on faraway golf courses instead of partaking in their common games. It has taken many years of conditioning to get the group's mind tweaked into such a dissonant and warped fashion, which is why the official level of extravagance has been traditionally kept within a reasonable range of public acceptance. Official golf games are part of that accepted extravagance.
To put it quite simply: try not to make our constructed reality look like a joke, as it really has taken a lot of work to get things like they are now. The most effective leaders play the part as if leadership was a serious undertaking, and the public will insist that your position really is serious. We would hope that you would at least pretend to be serious about it, instead of sitting in office, trolling and wrestling with the demented societal mind that we have already fashioned so well.
Remember that our business is to keep the war machine rolling along, and whatever else you choose to do with your time is your business. Our enterprise of destruction is to take precedence over yours though, and while we are impressed with your willingness to keep killing and blowing things up in foreign lands in the name of freedom, always be sure to make the population think that it was their idea to bomb the world, and not yours.
Until next time,
Best regards, your Uncle
