2017 Top 10 Powerful Foreign Trade Counties in Zhejiang Province----Yiwu’s import and export volume ranks No.1

The list of 2017 Top 10 Powerful Foreign Trade Counties in Zhejiang Province came out, with Yiwu City, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City and Bercang District, Ningbo City ranking top 3.

In recent years, aiming to build the world’s “capital of small commodities” in a high level, guided by the reform of international trade, the development of Yiwu's open economy are accelerating unceasingly. According to statistics, in 2017, the import and export volume of Yiwu's foreign trade was 233 billion 940 million yuan, an increase of 4.9%, with import volume accounting for 230 billion 450 million yuan and export volume 3 billion 490 million yuan, increasing by 4.7% and 25.2% respectively. Meanwhile, cross-border e-commerce transactions grew by 15.03%, ranking the first place in the national top hundred counties on e-commerce for 4 years. In 2017, the “Madrid-Yiwu Train”ran 168 columns, sending 14910 containers, an increase of 84.3% over the same period.

Since the pilot of the comprehensive international trade reform was approved in March 2011, Yiwu has focused on Yiwu market to “fully play the unique role in the global division of labor”, trying beforehand in the key areas and key links in international trade, actively promoting the level of trade facilitation and maturing market procurement. Besides, Yiwu also implements a series of innovative supporting regulatory measures, such as quick sign and issue clearance single-unit of goods in small amount, filling and settlement system for foreign purchasers and “Internet plus” self-helping settlement, forming the “single window” of market procurement. At the same time, we speed up the construction of trade and port platform, the opening of the air port and temporary railway ports, and has platforms with open function, like Yiwu port, Yiwu bonded logistics center (B Mode), Yiwu international mail exchange bureau and so on.

Yiwu also actively participate in the construction of “Belt and Road”. “Madrid-Yiwu Train” has opened and operated 9 lines, along with the establishment of 4 branches, 8 overseas silos and 5 logistics distribution centers, which has become a China Railway Express with the most running routes, the highest level of marketization and the leading efficiency in operation.
