This is for anyone who wants to see how I made my youtube/dtube/etc template for videos and a little bit about why:
The hook:
The hook is incredibly important because it is what most everyone is going to see if they google the specific terms that link your video. SEO - Search engine optimization is quite possibly one of the biggest factors in getting your content seen. So before you write anything in the description try to write a nice hook.
↑ only the first 50 characters or so are shown on google
Video description:
Try to get as many of the title words and tag words in without going too wordy or complicated. Try to stay concise without repeating yourself. Often I will also add a break down of each step with a time stamp next to it so that a user can use that to go back and forth on confusing methods

Asking for likes in the description below all the important stuff is fine. Everything below this is just cross video promotion basically. Youtube allows unique characters from unicode as well as emoji's so I try to use them to break everything up a little bit. I have a steemit blog post on @brains1ck called my favorite characters where I list a few hundred that I like to use for bullets and decorations.

I highly reccomend that you syndicate your content. By this I mean upload it to facebook/youtube/dtube/steemit/twitter so that no one else does it for you. The wider the net, the more views your gonna reach. As a newbie you don't need to worry at all about monetization.
