1. Zappl is going to be a very, very busy place, and while a single trending page will never solve everything, I think we can make a good attempt with this concept.
If you have ever visited any good news website you will notice a very familiar layout to the one below, mostly powered by either manual edits to a website or algorithms that surf content and promote it based on certain reasons. Either way, it produces a page that is very useful for digesting content from within any website.
Then just continue and maybe do like 15-30 categories? These would work different than the Steemit sidebar I would hope as well, not just more links to the same content and hashtags, etc.
2. The Goal; Content curation, content organization & new ways to explore the Steem blockchain.
As most of us know, it can be very hard to find certain content on Steemit, let alone be a new user and have to grind it our for a few months until you have garnered not only an education but a following as well, this could help ease the pain of that process, along with help us enjoy better content from other areas of the blockchain that we don't often surf.
3. This can be expanded, multiplied or divided to suit many causes as the content grows. One trending page is most likely not enough, but we should start somewhere other than /trending.
You could basically just continue to segment these type of pages into smaller and smaller communities to help solve the content exploration problem and help spread the reward pool even further, to more users.
