Sports Long jump is divided into three types.
- Squat Style (Orthodox)
In the long jump squat style or also called orthodox force, the main purpose of this force is to run as fast as possible from a distance of 40 to 45 m across the track. Because this force has a function to get the maximum speed and its ability to be carried out over long distances from a distance of 40 to a distance of 45 m, on a predetermined path used for the long jump area.
- Hang Style (Schnepper)
Hanging style, often also called the schnepper style, is one of the long jump styles that cannot be changed when it rests on a plank or wooden plank. Like the squat style, the body position in this style is also more robust. In the style of hanging, swing backwards and forwards will be applied to the legs, even at the same time as the two arms are also swung back and forth.
When landing, then both legs will be straightened forward and landed by using both heels first to maintain body balance when landing.
- Walking in the Air
In general, gait begins in the air by taking a 10-step start, then the athlete runs with additional speed before hitting repulsion. When relying, the waist is slightly lowered, the thighs are swung freely by straightening the knees, ankles, and waist.
When doing floating movements in the air, legs that go in front are pulled. Then the arms and body are leaning forward and the legs are stretched for a moment to achieve further results so that the results obtained are more optimal.
