I never saw the movie but really liked the book (which combined with the movie trailer put me off seeing the movie). I liked the bits that reflected on useful jobs/skills.

Very different from a scorched dry Melbourne veggie garden. I'm sure mine is not economical but what we do harvest is always delicious and it also gives me a great appreciation of the cheapness and convenience
