RE: Privacy Coin Forks and Hacks
Another interesting outcome of the Monero hardfork: The hash rate has dropped massively. Was that due to ASICs dominating the hash rate, or some other reason?

Yeah, that's something I've touched upon more in previous posts (some not on Steemit): global communications is so easy now. An influencer can have global reach even from their own bedroom. The underlying

Just double checking SP was steem power and not some theory from DK or NNT that I couldn't remember. :-) Sometime in the near future I'm going to work on creating a spreadsheet containing as many scaling

Thanks for the feedback! Kahneman's book is also a favourite. I wasn't entirely surprised that there was alignment between NNT and DK given the overlap in what they say. I had suspected that before NNT

Also, there is an interesting piece on malicious code which users will lose ether on if they donate to them (so-called Honeypots):

Somehow I missed this post but broadly agree. Bitcoin is not anti-fragile but cryptocurrency as an "ecosystem" is. The more things that happen, good and bad, the better the overall system gets.

RE: Earning Passive Income in Cryptocurrency
We need to create a master list of cryptos that provide a yield. I think Dash would qualify. I haven't looked into it so much, but if you run a masternode then you receive part of the block reward. The

Addendum: I should add that some coins do offer a yield, or at least purport to. Dash and Zen being two that come to mind. They offer, or will offer, a yield for running a master node / secure node. When

While I agree with the sentiment of bubble-like, the "crisis" from cryptocurrency popping will be relatively muted. A total market cap of $200 billion max isn't a lot. Compare that to any other
