I would guess that green means more like "it is acceptable to go", whereas red means a very passionate "NO GO FOR YOU!", and yellow is a bright warning to the fact that the signal light

Green is one of my favorite colors--Forest Green, especially! It is indeed one of the most calming colors. Another odd note, Light Green is often painted on hospital walls, and is worn by surgical teams.
