I was not checking the steem value for past one week. I thought it might reach 3.5$ by first week of 2018. But I got shocked when i see the price as 7.2$ As per coinmarket web site now it is 1 steem =

Steem is around 3.16 $ as of 24-DEC-2017 . But not seems to be reaching 4.00$ by this year end. But still it is good that steem manage to be above 3.00$ half of this month.

Steem is consistently above 3.00 US dollar last a few days..this indicates a stable growth for steem.

I hope this year end 2017, steem reach 4 dollars. The value now shows are 3.86$. This is really +ve trend for Steemit. 20-DEC-2017 1 steem = 3.86 US dollars
