RE: my first attempt to (street) photography
Did you use a tripod? If this was hand-held then you have a pretty steady hands for 1/320 shutter speed.

RE: Hive vs Steem Stats - Friday, May 22, 2020
It looks like a lot of people are posting on both Hive and Steemit at the same time. I guess the reason is "Why not?", you could potentially earn STEEM, power it down and convert it to HIVE.

If Justin Sun thinks the accounts he tried to confiscate money from were breaking the law then he needs to do that through the courts and not by diktat. That is the definition of a tyrant. I am powering

RE: Scaling - Why Ants Bounce But Elephants Go Splat
Great question! A feather and a bowling ball will fall at the same rate in a vacuum. This has been proven on the Moon and inside NASA's large vacuum chamber. Hammer vs Feather - Physics on the Moon Watch

RE: What If You Were Turned Into A Black Hole?
To be politically incorrect, the fatter you are the more you could destroy. I am a skinny dude and could only wipe out a large city. Sigh.

RE: What If You Were Turned Into A Black Hole?
I remember the big kerfuffle about this before the LHC started up. Normies did not understand that any black holes formed would probably last a few planck time lengths (my guess) and be essentially harmless.

They are on Amazon but are currently sold out unfortunately. I think the Soprano family in New Jersey snapped them all up.

Personally I don't think that they collapse down into an infinitesimal point. Quantum mechanics will kick in and prevent that. Exactly how though is not something that I am qualified to describe.

Yes, I have watched Interstellar a few times. I really like their representation of the black hole and I think there is even a video out there describing how they did it. It would be a good post subject,

RE: Will Humanity Turn Mars Into Trantor/Coruscant?
Terraforming on Mars will be a bitch. The solar wind will be constantly stripping off the atmosphere and their is no global magnetic field. Life on Mars may never get beyond the habitation module phase.

Mars is pretty much a mega fund site. That's a good one, wish I had though of it myself. I'd bet that it won't. You are probably right. This post is mostly science speculation but who knows what will happen

Yes, energy consumption and the wealth of people in a country are strongly correlated. Distribution of wealth is a whole other topic though and well beyond the scope of this post.

This is so true. No one generates his/her ideas out of a vacuum. It is more like a giant pyramid of mathematicians and scientists with the most recent ones one top being supported by the earlier ones below.

Quick one, do you think aliens truly exist? The scientific answer is the statistics say yes. Do they visit Earth? Can't say. Lot's of people think they have seen them but then again people also see leprechauns
