RE: Slow-Mo Winter
Not impossible, but I really don't know. But I wouldn't be surprised if many bands would actually give their permission for something like that if asked properly and shown an example of what you have in

RE: Cannabis vs. Pharmaceutical Drugs - Which is the Safest?
I see. I just think it's an important hedge to the points made in the post. I do not disagree on the whole, I just don't want the argument to be taken to an extreme (and I'm not even alleging that it has).

RE: Helsing: All whales requested | Discussion
I hope we'll actually see it happen. There is a lot to think about, but I think it has a lot of potential to do what it's meant to do.

The reason I took the time to write the response is not because I want to argue, but because I like your idea that we should dig out evidence that this is a bad approach that is hurting the whole platform

I appreciate and understand the sentiment, but I don't think anything like this can be reasonably coordinated and achieved. For instance, I wouldn't want to participate in an experiment where I have to

RE: The Healing Power of Community and Social Inclusion
That's really important to keep in mind. We function best when we are part of a community. I wonder if online communities offer at least some of the benefits of real-life ones?

RE: Cannabis vs. Pharmaceutical Drugs - Which is the Safest?
There are certainly situations where cannabis is the better option over pharmaceuticals, but I think it's important to not vilify either side of this topic. Sure, big pharma tend to be repulsive in their

RE: The Curious Case For Base 12 (Why Dozens Are Easier For Everyday Maths Than Tens)
Yep, Celsius started with an inverted scale where the colder it was the higher the number for the temperature was and I think somebody else started reversing it in the direction we are used to today.

I'm glad you liked it! :) I agree, the finger segments thing is quite ingenious. But if another base was more useful mathematically, I'm sure we would have found a creative way to visualize it.
